Rack Installer Supervisor Position
Description

This position requires the ability to travel all throughout the United States as well as be in good physical shape.  Supervisors are responsible for raising, uniting, and anchoring iron and steel frames, beams, girders, joists, columns, decks, and other structural members to form completed racking, shelving, and mezzanine structures, and frameworks.

 

This position is open to:

  • all who have a minimum of 3 years experience in rack installation, structural metal, or constructionl industry

This position requires the ability to supervise, manage, and direct a crew of 2 to 10 employees. 

 

Supervisors must be able to:

  • read blue prints as part of project set up in determining placement and order of installation materials
  • help coordinate all equipment to be used on a project
  • determine and communicate onsite changes and modifications in order to complete the project
  • coordinate travel activities of the crew from one job site to another

Position includes the use of a company truck and trailer, cell phone, credit card, laptop computer, and travel priviledges.  All lodging and hotel expenses are provided where each Supervisor has own room.   Vacation accrued after one year. Travel per diems are provided. 

Minimum Skills

Supervisors must have a mininum of 3 years experience in rack installation, structural metal, or constructionl industry and must be willing to:

  • perform physical activities
  • lift, climb, balance, walk, and stoop with heavy materials
  • supervise, manage, and direct a crew
  • adhere to safety polices and Sign In
  • follow project management direction
  • assist project management in coordination of material handling equipment
  • must be able to effectively communicate with management on a daily basis
  • provide daily progress reports and simple correspondence using a computer
  • effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one situations
  • effectively communicate and present information in group situations
  • effectively communicate and present information to workers at all levels
  • determine and communicate onsite changes and modifications in order to complete the project
  • coordinate travel activities of the crew from one job site to another
  • maintain clean work and storage areas
  • keep daily time cards up to date for all employees
  • ensure all expense reports are completed and turned in on a weekly basis
  • determine tools and equipment needed to perform work at a quality level
  • read and interpret blue prints, diagrams, sketches, and specifications
  • read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance manuals
  • understand safety, operating, and maintenance instructions
  • learn, operate, and pass equipment certification for lift equipment

Requirements
  • 36 months rack installation experience required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA         
Salary

Salaried Position - $650.00 - $800.00 weekly based on experience.

Up to $175.00 in weekly per diems.

This is a Full Time Position.
